Meet Catherine

From the moment Catherine stepped foot on TCU's campus, she knew she wanted to be a Student Body Officer. Her natural sense of leadership, organizational skills, attention to detail, as well as her deep-rooted desire to bring positive change for people make her the perfect Student Body Vice President.

Catherine sees the potential for real, positive change that will impact every student on this campus, and as Student Body Vice President she will make it happen.

After the tough year that was 2020, it is time to go into the 2021-2022 school year with faith in a leader who can unify us through both ideas and action. A leader who will listen to you and make TCU the best school you know it can be. Catherine Cunningham is that leader.

Leadership Experience

Catherine has served in numerous leadership roles in many different organizations during her time at TCU. During her Freshman year in Student Government, Catherine had the opportunity to serve as the Legislative Clerk for the House of Student Representatives, where she was able to serve in an administrative role and learn more about the inner workings of the House of Representatives. Catherine also served as a Frog Aide alongside so many amazing members of the Class of 2023 as well as being the only Freshman on the House Executive Board, where she learned the importance of working with students from all four grades at TCU and gained valuable wisdom from her older peers. As a member of the Dining Committee Freshman year, Catherine was able to get a hands-on look at how our dining infrastructure works on campus and see opportunities for change to improve our dining experience.

As a Sophomore in Student Government, Catherine was elected as an AddRan Representative and as the first Director of Communications for the Student Government Association, where she works to connect the ideas of Student Government to the student body. She is a member of the Governance Reform Committee, which is tasked with rewriting the document that affects the operation of Student Government to be modern and clear of any unnecessary language, as well as a member of the Student Experience Committee.

Outside of Student Government, Catherine has also held many other leadership roles and has been a part of multiple different organizations across the TCU community. Catherine became a member of Phi Mu at the beginning of her Freshman year where she is currently a member of the Greek Relations Committee, a committee responsible for organizing and negotiating events throughout Greek Life at TCU. The summer before her Sophomore year, Catherine served as a Frog Camp Facilitator where she was able to connect with and mentor incoming Freshmen. As a member of the first group of AddRan Ambassadors, Catherine works with the Dean to plan events and programs for the Liberal Arts college. Catherine is also an active member of the TCU Catholic community as well as a member of this year’s Wassenich Award Selection Committee.
